For those who surf alone, one of the most common problems is where to leave the car keys. Taking it overboard can result in loss and leaving it in the vehicle or on land brings the possibility of theft, a common scenario among athletes in this sport. Thinking of a way to help athletes have more security, Mitsubishi Motors inserted its key technology into the boards: using sensors, just approach and the vehicle unlocks automatically.
When designing the first prototype, Mitsubishi invited Gregório Motta, renowned shaper and founder of Aerofish. Connected to an Eclipse Cross, the brand's major automotive launch, the innovation was presented to the public at the 2018 Motor Show. With the good reception, the automaker is analyzing the test results and studying the possibility of future production and commercialization of this technology.
